Welcome to Vojo ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address, full name, and authentication data provided through Google Sign In or Apple Sign In.
- Profile Information: Bike model (optional), notification preferences.
- Location Data: Precise location when you browse nearby rides, create trips, or set your search radius. Location is only accessed when you use the app and grant permission.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and Expo push notification token for delivering notifications.
- Usage Data: Trips created, trips joined, and interactions within the app to improve service quality.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display and organize motorcycle trips near your location
- Connect you with other riders through trip participation
- Send push notifications about trip updates (new participants, cancellations, group completion)
- Moderate content and respond to user reports
- Process bug reports and improve app functionality

We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your name and bike model are visible to other trip participants. Your contact link (if provided) is only shown to users who have joined your ride.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, Expo for push notifications, and Unsplash for destination images. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Your data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access data they are authorized to see. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and OAuth 2.0 for authentication.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: View your profile and trip information within the app.
- Update your information: Edit your name, bike model, and preferences in the Profile screen.
- Delete your account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
- Control notifications: Enable or disable push notifications in your Profile settings.
- Control location access: Manage location permissions through your device settings at any time.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data (profile, trips, participation records, reports) is permanently removed from our systems.
9. Children's Privacy
Vojo is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete that information immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
